Once registered, employers or contractors must comply with various provisions of the BOCW Act, which include:

  • Payment of welfare cess for the benefit of building and construction workers.
  • Providing facilities such as housing, medical care, and educational facilities to workers and their families.
  • Ensuring safety, health, and welfare measures at construction sites.
  • Maintaining records and submitting periodic returns to the BOCWWB.

Registration ensures that the employer or contractor operates legally under the provisions of the BOCW Act.
