BOCW ACT

The construction industry in India is one of the largest employment sectors, with millions of workers engaged in building and infrastructure projects. However, construction workers often face unsafe working conditions, lack social security benefits, and remain vulnerable to workplace hazards. To address these issues, the Building and Other Construction Workers (BOCW) Act, 1996 was introduced.
